EXCEL AWARDS - Heage Windmill
Heage Windmill was one of the three finalists in the 2010 Excel
Tourism Awards, held at Chatsworth in the presence of the Duke and
Duchess of Devonshire. This short film was commissioned to play on the
stage during the awards ceremony.
The filming took place over one morning, and the post production took 3
hours in the studio, when all the shots were compiled and music and
graphics were added.
No two films are ever the same, but generally speaking, it takes 2 hours
to record 20 minutes of material, of which 2 minutes will be used in the
final production.
This film was uploaded to Yahoo and You Tube, and embedded in a
selection of websites and blogs. You Tube is now the second largest
search engine in the World, an ideal place to upload this video for the
widest possible worldwide coverage.

East
Lodge Country House Hotel
This 1 minute "teaser" on-line video was created for David and Iain
Hardman, the owners of the East Lodge Country House Hotel in Derbyshire.
Filmed over one afternoon, the video took 4 hours to compile in post
production when graphics and music were added.
The video was created to give a very brief flavour of the family run
quality feel of the hotel, and to encourage people to visit East Lodge's
website.

Matlock Bath Illuminated Boats 2009
This 4 minute video was created for Visit Peak District & Derbyshire
Tourist Board in conjunction with Derbyshire Dales District Council in the
Autumn of 2009.
Filmed over one afternoon and evening, the video took around 5 hours to
compile in post production when graphics, music and voice over were added.
The finished production was uploaded to You Tube, AOL video, Google
Videos, Metacafe and Blip TV as well as streamed onto the
Tourist Board's own website.
In total 5,685 people watched the video between October 1st and October
31st 2009. Broadcast within four days of being shot, the entire production
and distribution cost for this video was £650. The cost included a HD
ready DVD of the film in various formats including MPEG4 and shockwave.
Gulliver's Kingdom - EXCEL AWARDS 2010
The Derbyshire Theme Park was nominated for the Team of the Year at the
Excel Awards 2010. The "Oscar style" evening took place at Chatsworth on
the 4th of March 2010.
For this production we incorporated footage filmed by the staff as part
of an Induction Video Presentation by the Gulliver's Theme Park Group of
Companies.
The production took four hours in the editing studio, and features
library footage from our series of Off Peak TV Children's TV shows for
Visit Peak District & Derbyshire Tourist Board.
We can create and overlay just about any type of graphic or motion media
as part of your video. Sometimes we film people against a green screen
so that we can replace the background with a shot or graphic of our
choice.
